Lab 9

In this lab, we created different patterns and details using the Brush tool. The Brush tool allows you to created different designs on a particular place of your choice.First, we used the Line tool, like in Lab 8 to created rows 5x7 on the grid. Then, after we did that we picked on different patterns like Grass and created something meaningful like in my case i spelled out, Juan Ward Jr. Then after we made all our selections we then went ahead a wrote the name of each under each individual pattern the name of the pattern. After its all done i created a cloud background to add detail and ''Pop'' so to speak. So, therefore i can see myself doing this for different people or customers who ask for it. Therefore, Lab 9.

Lab 8 Vector Shapes

In this lab we created 23 different shapes and polygons to make different shapes. First, we created boxed lines using the line tool, as well as the grid to measure the dimensions out. Then, after we did that we created different shapes and polygons using the polygon ellipse, square, triangle and other tools as well as the ones listed. After doing so i named each shape and form with what i thought it looked like. After, I went to Filter, Render, and clouds to create the cloud design. So, therefore we can use this in real life to create a Web page. I can see myself doing this in the near future. So therefore Vector Shapes.

Lab7 Filters

In this lab we used plenty of different tools to create many filters in each picture. First, what i did was i placed 2 pictures in the document, and duplicated the second one 5 times. then i rasterized every layer and liquified the first one. then for the last 5 i filtered everyone in different fashion to create many different types of designs. then i placed the cloud background in the back and labeled every picture with the filter i used. in the future this is important because people love organized and quality work. So, therefore the Lab 7 filters.

Project 4 Reflection

     
         In this project i created a silhouette using a host of different tools. Also we also chosen a person or character that we ourselves like. In my case i picked a recording artist called Chief Keef. I chose this character because i truly love his music, his fashion and his sound. He almost inspires me to be a rapper. So, therefore this is the reason why i picked or chosen Chief Keef as my silhouette for this project in particular.


         In this project, we had to save images in regards to our characters hobby and what he is associated with. In this case i used a Microphone his Recording Label his Music Group logo, his clothing line and the shoes that he physically wears himself. I used these specific because i knew that this is what my character is associated with in his life.

         According to this project, i incorporated a host of different tools such as the Mask/selection.
This tool i feel was one of the most important tools of all used in this project it allows you to select a layer option. This tool brings the whole project together in other words. Also another part of this project that is important was the text it allowed me to write words that associate with it. For example, in mine i wrote His Label, his rap group and everything else associated with him. But, overall in this project there wasn't very much that didn't work out, but what i would really say was the path tool that trip me up. So, therefore this is the reason i picked him for my silhouette.

Lab 6

In this lab we used image resizing and grids to create a host of different sizes of pictures. First, we placed the grid in place and fitted it on screen. We then proceeded to place 4 different pictures in different sizes and fitted them according to instruction. We then adjusted them to equal resolution and proportion to make it look neat and clear on screen. i feel that this tool, even though basic is important because nobody likes anything that is sloppy, disorganized and disoriented. So, therefore i can see myself using this in the near future.

Marking Period 1 Self Evaluation

Marking Period 1, was a big surprise i feel. The reason so is because when i first came into Web Design i felt that it was going to slow down for me and completing labs/ projects were going to be a walk in the park so to speak. But i was clearly over myself because it was a complete opposite meaning that the homework was challenging and required research, test and labs were serious and requires precision and complete focus, as well as projects. I also learned something else, which was note taking skills. Even though theres instruction sheets it still required to copy details and procedures to complete the project correctly. So, therefore the first Marking Period was a big surprise.

Detail Oriented

Detail and Procedures are two of the most important thing not only to Photoshop and Web Designing but also in life so to speak. The reason being is because following procedure and details allow for you to understand what you are doing and how your supposed to do it. This also serves as an advantage over other people that do not understand. So, therefore through following Procedure and Detail comes comprehension and understanding.

Project 1 Photoshop Mask Adjustments/Enhancement

In this project we used a host of different tools and selections to create this adjustment. First, we placed a picture needed. then, we had to start with a selection so we chose the mask selection. Then adjusted the the size and hardness to 100%. After we carefully traced along the sides the selection tool and after made my selection. after i clicked select, inverse. Then we put a solid background which was orange as you can see and then added features and saturation as well as hue to add decoration. so, therefore if you take all these selections into consideration you end up with something like this. so, therefore in real life this especially important because people like to make things enticing to other people through Photoshop. Therefore, once again making this apart of your future can be beneficial.

Project 2 Warhol Portrait

Andy Warhol was an artist who was a specialist at Pop Art. Andy Warhol was a very skilled artist and insisted on creating a masterpiece. That’s why if it was up to me, I would definitely buy his art work because it adds boldness and attention to a room its almost like you cant miss it. Therefore when you walk into a room and you see a solid background with multiple different colors just know its Andy Warhol.

Andy Warhols art reminds me of a comic book or a video game especially. The reason so is because the colors and the varieties of it adds an exciting emotion to the art that he creates, its truly exciting. Back then, Critics in popular culture criticize the work that is popular, but telling from this its hard to criticize because the simplicity in it makes it so enjoyable. Therefore, Andy Warhol knew ways to gain peoples attention.

 Andy Warhols color, shape, balance, and unity are different from other artwork because its a more appealing to the eye type of display. He takes all of these elements and blend them toegether to create something amazing which was Pop Art. With out him portraits wouldn’t be important to us in the future. This is why when I was creating my own portrait, I felt great because I can actually make something Andy Warhol did himself. So therefore through using

Saturation, Black/White Adjustments and Brightness and a host of different Mask Tool, Rectangular Marquee Tool, Pen Tool and the Eraser Tool I can finally say that Andy Warhol put portraits and Pop Art where it is today.

Lab 5 Mask Selection

In this lab we used the Quick Mask Technique in Photoshop. first we used the quick Mask Selection, after we used the Brush selection adjusted the size and hardness and began to move the icon across a selected spot. we then click the Mask option on the bottom, clicked the Select tile at the top and clicked inverse and got a black background like in the screenshot. After i then simply switched the masks and increased the size of them to create a bobble head effect. this tool is very good for effects and such. its especially important in the future so we can make effects for a client. Therefore the Mask Selection.

Lab 1 Image Adjustments

In this lab we created a display on the 5 different types of camera angles. the objective of this lab was to create a display of the image adjustments by taking pictures in different ways as you can see. the way i did it was that i took multiple pictures and chose which ones was the best. after i created a project in regards to the different ways i took the pictures. this lab is especially important because if it wasn't for the images you can't be creative with a typical pictures thats why its called Photoshop. i can see myself doing this for a client if they ask for a collage or something, very important.

Lab 2 Lemon Head

In this lab, i created a melon face using the the selection tools like Rectangular Marquee, Elliptical Marquee etc. The objective of this lab was to create a unique melon head while using the selection tools to cut, copy and rearrange them to create a melon face. First what i did was cut out all the vegetables using the Rectangular Marquee tool, then i cut out the white excess parts using the Elliptical Marquee tool then rearrange the layers. photoshop was an option when dealing with these selections. these tools are incredibly relevant to Photoshop because it allows you to select a certain part to work on and get it to the way you want it. so, therefore this lab was very enjoyable.

Self Evaluation 13 Day Mark

During the 13 Day Mark i feel like this is the class for me. i feel like there are some things i can improve on during those first 13 days but overall i can see myself graduating from this class with a  certification for Visual Design. i feel like i can improve on the efficiency of me doing my homework on time. when i get home i tend to dose off and forget about my homework and half the time i end up not doing it or rushing it. it also tends to catch up on me according to my grade. But i feel in the long run that i will succeed in this class and eventually graduate from it. So therefore, in the future i feel i can do something with this.

Color Scheme

in this screenshot i created a unique color scheme using the arrows located inside the circle. these 5 colors represents my personality in 5 different phases. light blue represents my laid back personality, purple is for my level of  respect, red is for the aggressive part of me, orange is for being forgiving, and yellow is for happiness. i created these unique colors by dragging the 5 arrows to a preferred color scheme and there is your color.

How do we take notes?

HOW DO WE TAKE NOTES?

The way you take notes is as easy as writing what is projected towards you. Also your thoughts must work in harmony with the information being provided. Therefore when you take notes be sure to keep it clean, neat and organized so you do not get confused.

Lab 4 Image Adjustment Part 2

In this lab i incorporated a few skills used in Photoshop. using Hue, Saturation,Replace Color, and black and white to create almost a presentation of all adjustments. To use these tools you must go to the image file, click adjustment ang toggle either Hue, Saturation, or Replace Color. therefore when your finished just press enter.

Lab 3 Image Adjustment

In this lab i learned how to toggle image adjustment. I used the Hue/Saturation selection to create a vibrate view of the image shown.i used the leveler to create a certain particular color to show a color scale so to speak. i see myself using this for my personal use in the long run my down time.

1. In Photoshop, the first step to using the Magnetic Lasso Tool is to first click on it, drag it to your preferred spot and drag the icon around the preferred object.

2. In Photoshop the first step in using the Magic Wand is to first click on the tool, and click to use it around your picture.

3. Using the Quick Selection tool in like manner with the first two you must first toggle it, then click on the preferred spot.

4. First we enter Blogger then we click New Post, type in your preferred message, then click publish.

My name is Juan Ward, and i chose to be in this class for many reasons. since a young man i was so captivated in expressing my creativity, so i thought why not channel those ideas to something useful, and started from that moment on that i wanted to be in an environment full of people like me. Visual Design is an art it requires precision, thinking skills, and keen attention, therefore this class will help me grow into the person i want to be. this class is a blessing i feel, and many others feel as well. So, therefore a couple reasons why i want and am supposed to be in this class.
